This calle connects the Salizzada San Luca to the Riva del Carbon, skirting the flank of a special palace: the one that since 1867 has been Venice’s City Hall, Ca’ Loredan, connected to the nearby Ca’ Farsetti by the covered walkways that cross the street. Its double name tells of a noble condominium: the Loredan were the owners of the palace, the Memmo the tenants of the floor above.
