In the atrium of Ca’ Loredan the columns bear the marks of unknown hands: on the second shaft someone incised a little full-length man, with a pipe held in his mouth and one detail that catches the eye - he has no arms. On the columns around remain other portraits incised half-length: no signature, no date, only the gesture of someone who wished to leave a trace of himself on the stone.
